About The Sunshine Gang
Spreading kindness and compassion so no one feels forgotten.
The Sunshine Gang is a growing nonprofit organization based in Grove City, Ohio. Founded in 2021 by Billie Strader, the group began with a simple wish to brighten the lives of people who often feel alone or overlooked. What started with delivering Christmas cards to local nursing homes has blossomed into a community-wide effort to share light, hope, and compassion with others.
Today, The Sunshine Gang includes more than 40 caring members — and continues to inspire others to join in! Together, they organize heartfelt projects that lift the spirits of veterans, nursing home residents, the homeless, and animals in local shelters, proving that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring light, hope, and helping hands to those who feel forgotten. By honoring veterans, visiting nursing home residents, supporting the homeless, and caring for animals in shelters, we share kindness and compassion to remind every person — and every hero — that they matter and are never alone.
Our Team
The Sunshine Gang is guided by a dedicated group of volunteers who keep our efforts organized, driven, and full of heart.
